This weekend, the local club, Northern Lights Snowmobile Club, had their annual Trailside Wienie Roast.  In addition to wienies, cake, s'mores, hot coffee and hot Dr. Pepper (surprisingly good) and drinks were available.  About 200 sleds visited the event.

We had a warming trend several days ago and the traffic hammered the local trails.  We were expecting 5" today and we witnessed about a quarter of an inch which unbelievably took all day to fall.  We do have a base with minimal cover.  Corners are icy and the trails are rough.

Tomorrow, in anticipation the snow cover, a group of friends planned a long ride out to the Spread Eagle Barrens, located in Forest County, WI.  That trip is now cancelled.

I may ride the lakes and woods tomorrow.  These areas are still rideable with marginal conditions.  It is hard to think this may be close to the end of the riding season.
