Today we rode out of Old Forge on trail 1. It was good this morning but thin in the normal spots approaching trail 2. Went down the trail to Brantingham an God was it rough. Plenty snow cover but bumpy. Ten mile crossing was a lot better then the trail to Brantingham. We decided to take out towards Confusion flats but there were a couple of decent sized muddy water spots on Mt. Tom. I kind of knew better that after the recent thaws this would be the case but wanted to stay off the 5 mile plowed section of 10 mile crossing. Once past them the trails were great to Brantingham. Had lunch at the Trailside and then headed back to Old Forge to go to the SnoFest show. Took 10 mile back. The plowed section was thin and the rest was OK but showing wear from the traffic. The trail to Brantingham was even worse on the way back. WHY ARENT THEY GROOMING THIS TRAIL? Trail 1 was worse as well on the way back. Took trail 2 to 29 to 9 to 5 to 8 back to 1 into town. They were all good except trail 1 was showing wear in town from all the Demo rides. Roads in town were going down hill fast as of about 3PM.
